An amazing trip to Pakistan (18 to 27 August 2024)

09/18/2024

Nine breath-taking days.  Just as the weather started to cool in Iraq, Eric and Karla left Iraq to go to Pakistan where there was both heat AND humidity.  The focus was not the weather though, but to bring help, encouragement and assistance to three groups working within Pakistan.

Afghan Refugees

There are more than one million Afghans that fled their country when the Taliban took control.  Eric and Karla spent several days providing needed medical assistance and assessments to Afghani's in extreme need.

Persecuted and Disadvantaged Pakistani's

Enroute to Fasilbad, Eric and Karla were able to stop in Sogodha to provide food assistance and encouragement.  This city had been the site of the most recent mob riots that had culminated in the burning of several houses, companies and beating to death of one Christian in May.

Christian Ministries

In the south, medical outreaches were provided to slaves in brickyards, a street clinic before a crusade, and to church members after Sunday services.  it is God's kindness that leads to repentance, and it was special to help physical ailments while sensitively offering prayer, encouragement and hope to those in distress.
