It's official! - August 2021

While still awaiting IRS processing of our non-profit application in the US, we receive word that Northern Iraq is ready to approve our request to operate in Iraq.  As Country Director, Eric leaves on short notice, and highlights include:

• SU is officially recognized as an International NGO!!!
• 2 to 5 meetings every day meeting with other believers and groups. The busiest day featured meetings from 10 AM to 2 AM.
• Being able to travel to NY State to help my parents deal with their medical issues and help with their home enroute to Iraq.
• Developing a very mild case of Breakthrough Covid, with brief loss of smell 4 days after returning from Iraq. (So glad that I was one of the few wearing my mask for the entire return trip, so I would have minimized inadvertent transmission to others)
